Aaron Douglas Smith

Aaron Douglas Smith passed away on Monday February 28, 2022 at the age of 43. Born in Charlotte North Carolina on November 15, 1978, he was a joyful child with a smile that would light up a room. That never changed. He was a sweet man with a good heart. Aaron had a love for life and for people. He would give you the shirt off of his back even if he did not have a spare. In his final act, Aaron was able to donate his organs to LifeShare Carolinas so others could live. Aaron was a skilled golfer and attended Louisburg College on a golf scholarship. He had the ability to drive a ball over 350 yards and had numerous holes-in-one to his credit. Also he excelled at bowling and was practically unbeatable at cornhole. Aaron was good at everything he did. Whether it was cooking or playing cards, Aaron found joy in any activity. He loved children and pets as much as they loved him. He will be missed. He was a good son. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Frank and Curlee Cline and paternal grandparents Loyd T Smith and Dorothy B. Smith. He is survived by his parents, Larry and Teresa Smith of Cornelius, North Carolina and two brothers Dustin of Los Angeles, California and Shane Smith of Cornelius, North Carolina. He has a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins that he leaves behind. A celebration of life will be held at the home of Mike and Sharon Arrowood on a lakefront beach, May 14, 2022 at 3:00 with all of his family and friends remembering the good times and Aarons light, love and laughter.
