Miss Abigal Lela "Abbie" Frasier, age 89, of Johnstown, died Monday morning, December 20, 2010 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville. She was born in the Town of Northampton on November 28, 1921, the daughter of the late George Frasier and Lois Roosevelt Frasier. First employed at Robison & Smith Launderers for several years, she later worked as a housekeeper at Nathan Littauer Hospital for many years until her retirement. Abbie was the final survivor of twelve children born to her parents. She is survived by many nieces and nephews including her caregivers Lynn M. Butler and her husband Gary of Fonda. Another caregiver, Barbara Sanders, also survives. Her deceased siblings are: Florence Simonds, Susan Danylak, Nellie Grandy, Mildred Sleezer, Mary Frasier, Oswald Frasier, Isabelle White, Jessie Sleezer, Miles Frasier, Alan Frasier and John Frasier. There will be no calling hours. A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2011 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Peter R. Ellis officiating. Interment will take place at Edinburg Cemetery, Edinburg. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 12 James Street, Gloversville, NY 12078. Arrangements have been entrusted to Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, Gloversville.
