Adele Patterson
August 23rd, 1927 - March 4th, 2012
A memorial service will be held for, Adele Patterson, 84, of Chico, CA; time to be determined. Adele passed away on March 4, 2012 at Enloe Medical Center in Chico. Adele was born on August 23, 1927 in Santa Ana, California to Spencer “Pat” and Marjorie Patterson. She was one of eight children. Adele attended Santa Ana High School, University of Utah at Logan, Santa Ana Junior College and University of California at Davis. She lived in a variety of places: Santa Ana, CA, Tucson, AZ, Bermuda, Vacaville, CA, Lake Almanor, CA, Santa Rosa, CA and Chico, CA. Adele taught for nineteen years in Vacaville, primarily at Willis Jepson Junior High as an English teacher and then as the Curriculum Librarian. Adele along with her husband traveled extensively until health issues forced her to stop. She was the President of the Oakmont Lawn Bowling Association in Santa Rosa and was an avid Bridge player. Adele is survived by her husband of over 30 years, Warren C. Wade of Chico; daughters, Betsy (Pete) Giampaoli of Chico and Debby (Russell Lee) Willsey of Forest Ranch, CA; son, Pat (Kathy) Willsey of San Clemente, CA; stepdaughter, Nina (Joe) Jackson of Santa Maria, CA; stepson, Corey (Joanne) Wade of Los Osos, CA; eight grandchildren; three (soon to be five) great grandchildren; two sisters and one brother. A private funeral with family will be held and Adele will be buried at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, CA.
