ADRIENNE aka Adriana Nicole DEL RIO, born 7/14/1980, age 37, passed away unexpectantly Friday, 9/1/2017. She was formerly from Key West, FL; attended Key West High School, Florida Keys Community College, Miami Dade Community College, and Eastern Florida State College. She previously resided in Miami, New York for a brief period, and Melbourne, FL. She was a very compassionate and caring soul. Her true passion was writing, filming, fishing in the Keys, loved nature, animals and critters of all kinds. She loved her Cuban roots and was proud to be a Hispanic. She was beloved by all, her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who crossed her path. She was a total foody. Disliked figs and eggplant, but loved her Organic Cotton Candy grapes, and her mom’s Thanksgiving turkey stuffing, and her mom’s recipe was to be kept TOP SECRET. She recently developed a pickling fetish – made her own without salt and sugars. Halo ice cream was a new treat. Her favorite was almond butter crunch oatmeal cookie and birthday cake flavors. She was an extreme movie buff, especially horror movies. She knew all the directors and even had her movie CDs categorized by directors. Some of her all-time favorites were JAWS the original movie, The Lost Boys, The Goonies, The Gremlins, Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”, all of Tim Burton’s films, Twin Peaks and was so excited of the new remake of “Creature from the Black Lagoon”. Adriana was a Marvel Comics connoisseur and blogger for horror movies and was in the process of releasing a short film and in contact with a director friend who was very interested in her ideas and script and with a famous poster illustrator who was sketching her breakout poster for the short film. She loved, loved, loved the New Orleans Saints football team, in particular, Quarterback, Drew Brees. She even wrote a weekly blog for “Who Dat”, the New Orleans Saints newsletter a few years ago. Adriana is survived by her beloved parents: Sergio and Aurora Del Rio. She is also survived by her cherished aunts Cira (Lusito) Garcia; Luisa (Lenny, “Padrino”) Salazar; Debbie (Cliff) Kramer; Cecilia (Daniel) Rodriguez; and uncles Raul (Gladys) Del Rio; Eugene (Joan) Albury; Jose Hernandez; her treasured “Madrina” Mili Del Rio, her loving partner, Rachel Derry, and her “My Pie” Miley and her many loving cousins and family members and truly dear friends as well as her 30,000+ Twitter followers. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Eugene (Wellito) Albury; Aurora and Jose Hernandez; Caridad and Luis P. Del Rio; aunt, Margaret Hernandez; uncles, Luis Del Rio and Victor Albury; cousin, Peter Forns Duke; and beloved pets Vampire, Cleo and Breesy. A Celebration of life will be held at 6:00 P.M., Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Beckman Williamson Funeral Home, 5400 Village Drive, Rockledge, Florida 32955. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service. “I HAVE NOT LEFT YOU, I HAVE ONLY GONE AHEAD!!!”
