Mrs. Adris Elizabeth (Weber) Robinson, age 93, of Waukesha passed away on January 7, 2015 at Angels's Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc WI. She was the third child born to Alice (Aliska Shipla) Weber and Andrew Weber on August 5, 1921. Although she spent the majority of her childhood in Green Bay, WI, her summers were spent on an island in the bay, called Long Tail Point, where her father was a lighthouse keeper. She graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in 1939. She served in the US Coast Guard in St. Louis, MO from 1942 to 1945. Adris was an avid reader throughout her life, which lead to her next career as the proprietor of a newsstand in the lobby of the Northern Building in downtown Green Bay. On Oct 14, 1950 she married Robert Robinson of Waukesha, WI. Together they raised five children. She was an excellent homemaker, loving mother and wife. They both instilled the values of hard work and determination. She was a great lover of fishing and enjoyed camping. Bob and Adris taught their children and grandchildren the true beauty and appreciation of nature with all of its magnificence. In addition to being a homemaker, she volunteered for cub scouts, boy scouts and girl scouts. She also enjoyed working as a "hall monitor" and library assistant from 1971-1981 at Waukesha South High School. Bob and Adris spent most of their retired years at their cottage in Mountain, WI. They enjoyed traveling all over the US seeing family and friends, attending navy veterans reunions and swimming with senior aquasizer swim classes at Carroll University. After Bob's passing in 2003, Adris continued to be very active by swimming, playing cards, singing in the choir, participating in the shuffleboard Senior Olympics and knitting lap robes for seniors. She was living at the Berkshires on Kensington, where she was involved in various activities and projects. This is where she met, her special friend and companion, Don Muench. She truly loved life to its fullest for all of her 93 years. Her feistiness, wit, humor and love of the Packers will be remembered by all of those who knew her and loved her. Adris is survived by her five children and their spouses; Robert (Linda) Robinson of Oshkosh WI, Barbara (Jerry Stroter) Robinson of Westminster, MD, Thomas Robinson of Beloit, KS, Patricia Bell of Waukesha WI and Ellen (David Mandell) Robinson of Madison,WI. She is further survived by grandchildren; Jodi (Chris) Bauer, Carrie (Shannon) Stuart, Drew (Monica) Stroter, Jasmine (Jason) Eaton, Timmy Robinson, Alex Bell and Emily Bell and great-grandchildren; Chase and Gage Bauer, Kylie Robinson, Collette Stroter and Evelyn Shannon. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Ralph and Cletus. A celebration of her wonderful life will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a eulogy beginning at 6:45 p.m. at Cesarz, Charapata and Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N.
