Agnes M. Rigmaiden, the daughter of Harry and Lillian McRae of Portland, Oregon, died peacefully after a 13 year battle with Alzheimer's disease. She leaves behind her husband of 45 years, Herman Rigmaiden, and five children, Kay Skripka, Terri Scott, Herschel Scott, David Rigmaiden, Michael Rigmaiden, and six grandchildren. Agnes grew up in Portland, Oregon and was a graduate of Grant High School. She moved to Salinas in 1946 and later attended Hartnell College. Until her retirement, she was the office manager for two local certified public accountants. She was an avid reader and enjoyed the outdoors and hiking. But most of all, she loved to travel with her husband and their winters in Arizona. A private celebration of her life will be scheduled for friends and relatives at a later date. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

We Entrusted Agnes Rigmaiden's Care To
Healey Mortuary
At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
