Agustin Jilberto Bracamontes

January 4, 1979 – March 5, 2020 Native of Santa Cruz The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday in Santa Cruz for Augustin Bracamontes who passed away unexpectedly this past Thursday in Santa Cruz. He was 41 years old. Agustin worked in the farming and packing industry for several years. He loved soccer, and was an accomplished ocean fisherman. His family will always cherish the memories of Agustin’s passion for boxing and rooting on the San Francisco 49ers. He is survived by his five children: Vanessa Ponce, Agustin Bracamontes, Nayely Bracamontes, Nathaniel Bracamontes, and Diamond Bracamontes; and wife, Araceli Carranza, and step daughter, Genesis Yaritza Carranza. He also leaves his sister, Angelica Bracamontes, his twin brother Juan Antonio Bracamontes; his brother Jose Bracamontes, and loving nephew Juan Anthony Bracamontes, along with a host of extended family members residing here and in Mexico. The mass will take place on Monday, March 16, 2020 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church (515 Frederick Street) in Santa Cruz beginng at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery on 7th Avenue in Santa Cruz. Any kind acts of charity directed to the Bracamontes Family are deeply appreciated to assist with funeral expenses.
