Alan Hoyt Michaels
September 10th, 1959 - January 9th, 2016
Alan Hoyt Michaels; born 09/10/1959 in Dayton, OH to Jack and Mary Michaels, died 01/09/2016. Alan passed on at his home of 6 months in Tacoma, WA. In his own words, Al was lucky to be able to know when he was leaving this earth and was able to be surrounded by family and friend in his final 48 hours. Al is preceded in death by his father, Jack Michaels. He is survived and loved by his wife, Amy; mother, Mary Michaels; children and step-children Jason, David, Amanda, Curtis and Tianna; and by his siblings Blake, Steve and Denise Michaels. The sparkle in his eyes was for his 5 grandchildren: Bianca, Madison, Rianna, Jackson and Dahlia-Jade. Al worked hard and played hard. He lived his life for others, constantly doing and helping whomever and however he could. His passion was fishing; and he loved nothing more than his annual fishing trips with the boys and family gatherings at the lake. To honor his wishes, his ashes will go on one last fishing trip, and have one last hurrah at the lake. Al left this life on his own terms, and in his own way. He gathered family close and told everyone this is how its going to be. He instructed loved ones to enjoy the last two days he had, told stories, ate barbecue ribs and fired okra, and insisted that no-one cry. Even in his last hours, he was thinking of those he loved and doing what he could to give them peace and feel the love he had for them. So, to Big Al, the Boss Man; your stories will go on, and you will be continually lovedforever.
