Albert Franklin Landers

Landers, Albert Franklin, 65, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at Northside Hospital. He was born in McKeesport, PA and raised in St. Petersburg where he graduated from Boca Ciega High School. He is a retired letter carrier from the US Postal Service after 23 years. He was a member of Tampa AVAST and a participant in the Adaptive Golf program at Terrace Hills Golf Club in Tampa. An advocate for amputee services, he was instrumental in obtaining a Solo Rider Golf Cart for the disabled at Mangrove Bay and Cypress Links Golf Course in St. Petersburg. He considered one of his greatest achievements was his hole-in-one at Terrace Hills. He appeared in the documentary and film credits for the movie "Winter's Tail". He was preceded in death by parents and brother, Walter Landers. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla G. Arbogast-Landers; his son and granddaughter, Todd Landers and Ava Grace Landers, both of Atlanta; a stepson, Jeff Arbogast of Clearwater; two stepdaughters, Kari Arbogast and Alison Chapa, both of St. Petersburg; and grandchildren, Courtney Chapa, Zachary Chapa, Cody Chapa, Braxton Arbogast, and Mason Arbogast.
