Albert W. Torchia

Torchia, Albert W Age 91 of Feather Sound, Clearwater, was reunited with his loving Wife Frances on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at St. Anthony's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 11, 1925 to the late Charles P. and Eugenia Torchia. He married Frances L. Abaray of Oakmont, PA on June 19, 1946. He was a decorated Army Veteran of WWII, member of the Timber Wolf division, German prisoner of war escapee,Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient. Albert was devoted to his wife of 62 years, his family and a proud American. Albert is survived by his Daughters Nancy(Tom) Riley and Kathleen Doermer; Son, Albert(Patty) Torchia, Jr.; grandchildren, Albert(Whitney) Torchia, III., Gina Torchia, Jenna(Billy) Wells, Alison(Larry) Bearnarth, Karen(Greg) Riley, Kristen(Eden) Riley, Christine(Robert) Hearn, Caren Chancey, and Caitlin Doermer; great-grandchildren, Connor, Bobby, Evan, River, Tommy, Scott, Grace, Lane, Laura, Ashley, Hayden, Linda, Albert, IV, and Jack. There will be a visitation on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 4 - 6 PM, at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK Street North in St. Petersburg. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2PM at St. Catherine's of Siena Catholic Church in Clearwater, Monday, April 10, 2017. www.andersonmcqueen.com.
