Alberta A. Voght
April 14th, 1934 - May 29th, 2022
Alberta A. Voght, 88, of Fonda, New York passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Albany Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 14, 1934 in Town of Oppenheim, New York to Mr. George Mosher and Mrs. Maude Herringhsaw Mosher, one of 17 children. Alberta attended local schools before joining the workforce, she was employed as a housekeeper, a clerk, a homemaker and from 1988 to 1992 she owned and operated the Rainbow Restaurant with her daughter Loretta. Alberta dedicated her time to the Auriesville Shrine for 10 years, she was also a member of the Saint James Catholic Church. She had a number of hobbies, and loved arts and crafts, especially ceramics. She loved going to the casino, the ocean, she enjoyed watching the cows in the pasture and was lovingly referred to as "the gatekeeper" on the farm. More than anything Alberta loved spending time with her family. Alberta is survived by her children; Randy (Marion) Perron, Clifford Voght Jr., Mary (Elmer) Field, Caroline (Ed) Swartz, Clara (Jim) McWayne. She leaves behind one sibling, Betty Dillenbeck. She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Jeanna, Laura, Angela, Greg, Jennifer, Nathan, Megan, Amanda, Joshua, Brittany, Brandon, Bryan, Evan, and DeliaMae as well as her great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Gregory Perron, daughter Loretta Florian, granddaughter Nancy Swartz and 15 siblings. A Service of Remembrance will take place on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 11:00AM at Lenz and Betz Funeral Home 69 Otsego St, Canajoharie, NY 13317. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Fonda immediately following the service. Calling hours will take place on Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Lenz and Betz Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org/donate
