Alex Shultz, 71, husband to Fannie Kavanaugh Shultz of Lexington, KY passed on Thurs. Jan. 16, 2020. Alex and Fannie were married for over 50 yrs. Alex was the son of the late Nacy and Elizabeth Shultz of Mulhenberg Co., KY. Alex retired from Don Jacobs Car Dealership in Lexington, KY where he was a Body Shop worker. Alex enjoyed life, loved spending time with family and friends and loved watching University of Kentucky Basketball. Alex was a member of St. Paul Pred. Church for years and even when he left he would still come back often and continued to support the church. To his union of marriage Alex had two sons, Alex (A-2/Lex) Shultz, Jr. and Dameon Shultz both of Lexington, KY; two brothers, Andrew (Sue) Shultz of Madisonville, KY and Jerry (Lou Ann Trammell) Clark of Lexington, KY; three sisters Wila (Paul) Hatchett of Bowling Green , KY Beverly Clark of Illinois and Esther (Bernard) Weems of Douglasville, GA; two sister-in-laws, Mary K. Mitchell and Georgia K. Smith both of Lexington, KY; brother in law, Chester (Shelia) Kavanaugh of Danville, KY and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Visitation will be from 11am – 1pm Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Clark Legacy Center followed by a service at 1pm. Burial to follow in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers for Mr. Shultz include, Raymond (Skip) Mitchell, Chester (Chet) Kavanaugh, Jay Wade Kavanaugh, Ricky Kavanaugh, Charles Kavanaugh and Cory Kavanaugh; honorary pallbearers, Jaime Black, Calvin Kavanaugh, William (June) Doty, Jr. and Grady Brezeale. The Shultz family would like to thank you for all your expressions of sympathy during this time of bereavement, whether you came by, gave donations or prayed for us.
