Alfredo B. Chavez

Alfredo B. Chavez was born in Tajique, New Mexico on October 27, 1926 to Alfredo Chavez, Sr. and Adelida Barela and has been a lifelong resident of Estancia, New Mexico. Alfredo was an avid rancher, making it his chosen profession for 33 years. His love for horses and cattle was unmatched. Alfredo was rather a quiet man with a great and unconditional love for his family and friends and will be dearly missed by many. Alfredo was a man of great integrity, with a heart of gold. His absence has left a great void that will never be filled.  Alfredo was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie Anaya, his father, Alfredo Chavez Sr., his mother Adelida Barela Chavez, his brothers, Juan, Fernandez, Jose, Pantaleon and Ernest Chavez, his sister, Josephita Chavez and his grandson, Wade Sullenger.  Alfredo is survived by his daughters, Roxanne A. Font, Albuquerque, NM, Roseanne Starkey and husband Robert Starkey, Albuquerque, NM Alfreda Thomas and husband Mike Thomas, Estancia, NM Velma Crow and husband Larry Crow, Belen, NM Diane Chavez, Albuquerque, NM Joanne Maese and husband Robert Maese, Sr., Albuquerque, NM His grandchildren, Julia Rose Starkey, Robert Maese, Jr., and wife Glinda Maese, Heather Berkshire, Lauren Schwebach and Erin Tate and husband Seaver Tate. Great grandchildren, Joaquin Maese, Neveah Maese, Israel Maese, Cruz Berkshire and Blake Berkshire.
