    Alice Anna Allred, 85, passed peacefully on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 at St Luke’s Hospital in Twin Falls Idaho with her family by her side. 

    Alice was born November 9th, 1938 in Jerome, ID., to Ellis LaVerle Hitesman and Ethel Mae Lish. She joined siblings, Louie Mae, LaVerl, Johnny, and Ruth. She was 5 years old when her parents passed away in a car accident. She was lucky enough to be adopted by wonderful parents Jack & Alice Craig along with sister Ruth.

 She was a 1957 graduate of Glenns Ferry High School. She attended Purdue University for one year. She missed her family so she came home and attended Nampa Nazarene College. She met Chuck Finlayson at a dance in Sun Valley and later married in 1958. From that union they had 4 children. They divorced in 1975. She later married Denver Allred in 1978. 

    Alice worked for the Glenns Ferry School District in the cafeteria serving lunch until 1978 when she retired. She then did odd jobs until she started driving bus for the Glenns Ferry Senior Center. Alice throughly enjoyed this job as she accompanied her fellow seniors to many field trips. 

 Alice loved spending time in the garden tending to her flower’s. She also loved collecting owls and amassed a very large collection over the years. She was an active member of the King Hill Presbyterian Church and taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Preceptor Omega and enjoyed spending time with her fellow sorority sisters. 

    She is survived by her 4 children Lucile (John) Allen, Marsing Idaho, Cheri (Jeff) Hulo, Hagerman Idaho, Craig (Cindy) Finlayson, Meridian Idaho, Mark(Ada) Finlayson, Boise, Idaho. Brothers LaVeral (California) and Johnny (Hagerman, Idaho) and a sister (Ruth) Boise Idaho. 13 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren, 7 Great Great Grandchildren. Numerous Nieces and Nephews. 

    Alice was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Alice Craig, husband Denver Allred, sister LouieMae Hitesman, great grandson Jed Griggs, son in law Blaine Allen, son Bill Allred, and grandson in-law Jim Griggs. Numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. 

     A Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 20th at 11:00 AM at:

 Glenns Ferry First Baptist Church 461 S. Oneida Glenns Ferry, Idaho. 

Internment to follow at Glenn Rest Cemetery.
