Alice Caldwell

Alice Marie Payne Caldwell 81, of Kingsport went to her eternal home on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Indian Path Medical Center. Her hobbies included cooking, cleaning, and spending time with her family. Alice was preceded in death by husband, Andy Caldwell; parents, Shelby and Ethel Payne; daughter, Deborah Marie; son, Terry Allen Fields; sisters, Loretta, Lois, and Beatrice; brother, Thomas Payne. Survivors include her daughters; Wilma Fields of Blountville, TN, Lois Fleming and husband Richard of Clintwood, VA; sons; Gordon Fields of Mountain City, TN, Johnny Fields of Kingsport, Kenneth Fields of Nashville, TN, and Ronnie Fields and fiancé Cynthia Ratley, of Clintwood, VA; grandchildren, Whitney, Raymond, Cassey, Virginia, Shannon, Richard, Ronnie, Heather, Ronnie Lee, and Nathan; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, Daniel Payne and wife Carmen and Howard Payne; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home downtown, Kingsport. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 11:30am with Darrien McCugh officiating. A graveside service will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Carter-Trent Funeral Home is serving the Caldwell family.
