Alice England

Alice England age 79 of Eugene, Oregon passed away on October 15, 2014 of vascular dementia. She was born in Clyde, California on June 15, 1935 to Lawrence and Alberta (Platz) Kihn.She attended Eugene High School graduating in 1953 and attended the University of Oregon for three years.Alice married James J. England in Eugene, Oregon on November 27, 1955. She worked as a marketing manager for ACBI, and then she opened up her own employment agency. At age 50 she obtained her Real Estate License and worked for Jean Tate Real Estate .Alice loved to spend time with her grandchildren and loved gardening, tennis, where she won her first trophy at age 65, playing bridge and volunteer community work, traveling and she was a gourmet cook. She was known for her stylish fashions and hats.She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and Bridge Club and was also a member of the Sacred Heart Hospital Guild and served as president.She is survived by her husband and two sons, Mark A. England (Barbara Langdon) of Gambrills, MD, & Eric J. England (Sharon) of Creswell, OR and a daughter, Stacey A. Lyman (Jim) of Salem, OR. Nine grandchildren, Mackenzie England, Cameron England, Grayson England, Hayden England, Jillian England, Nickolas England, Michaela England, Monique Smith & Preston Smith and a great grandson, Ridley England.A Funeral Service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church on Sunday, October 26th at 2:30 PM. There will be a public visitation on Saturday, October 25th from 10:00 to 2:00 at Musgrove Family Mortuary. On Monday, October 27th there will be a graveside service at Rest Haven Memorial Park at 3:00 PM.Memorial Contributions can be sent to Sacred Heart Hospital Guild.Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
