November 23rd, 1970 - April 14th, 2020
Alice Mares from Canon born November 23, 1970, passed away in the early hours of April 14, 2020. Alice was a 1989 graduate of Taos High School, she worked many jobs to include; wildfire firefighter, maid, cook, and personal attendant. She lived life to the fullest and had many friends. She was an avid fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and loved the outdoors. Alice was preceded in death by her parents Eduardo and Consuelo Mares, sister Victoria Rodriguez, brothers Larry and George Mares and sister-in-law Roberta Mares. She is survived by her siblings, Alfred (Debbie), Mike Mares, JoAnne Sandoval (Tommy), Elsie Marquez (Ramon). She had many Nieces and Nephews that loved her, but the one dearest to her heart was her nephew Tomas "Beano" Sandoval, who she loved like a son. Alice worked hard but partied harder. She was fun to be around and loved to sing. She will be sorely missed by all of her family and friends.
