Alison Jo Jenkins

Alison Jenkins July 12, 1979 �" May 6, 2007 Age: 27 Residence: Greeley, Colorado Tribute: Alison was a beautiful and incredibly gifted individual. In her youth she danced competitively and was proud of her many trophies. She also sang in the Greeley Children’s Choral. At Greeley Central she sang in the Jazz Ensemble, was selected to the Colorado All-State Choir and participated in Central’s European Tour her Junior year. The tour was one of her fondest memories, and mementos of Paris, France and the Eiffel Tower adorned her home. Alison had a special love for children, and was a nanny for families, literally becoming a part of the family. Her beloved companion was her dog Zoya. Alison attended Aims Community College receiving an Associate of Arts Degree in Emergency Medical Services. Serving, helping and loving others in their time of need became her passion. She served as an EMT in the Emergency Room for North Colorado Medical Center and Weld County Paramedic Services fulfilling a lifelong dream. Her Emergency Medical Family describes her as caring, dedicated, compassionate and fun loving. Alison died Monday, May 6, 2007 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is with her loving Savior, friends, and family in Heaven. Survivors: Parents, Rick and Barb Jenkins of Greeley; brother, Josh Jenkins and wife Kristy of Greeley; nephew, Jackson Jenkins of Greeley; Grandparents, Alta Luhn of Pevely, MO and Bob Jenkins of Julesburg, CO; two aunts, Janet Weseman and husband Mike of Pevely, and Barb Davies and husband Bill of Little Rock, AR, and two uncles, Rob Jenkins and wife Diane of Gulf Shores, AL and Jim Jenkins and wife Karen of Springfield, Va. She is also survived by her boyfriend, Aaron Timothy of Greeley. Preceded in death by: Grandfather, Wilbert Luhn and grandmother, Lillian Jenkins. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Adamson West Chapel. Services: 10:00 a.m. Friday May 11, 2007 at Greeley Wesleyan Church. Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Greeley, Colorado.
