Alison Mary Lander
April 18th, 1958 - June 8th, 2005
. Alison Mary Lander (1958 – 2005) Alison lost her battle with breast cancer on Wednesday, June 8th, surrounded by family and friends. She was born to Peter Palmquist and Sally Palmquist on April 18th, 1958, in Paris, France. She was a resident of Tumwater for the last 13 years. Alison grew up in Arcata, California, where she graduated Arcata High School. During her life, she worked as a school aide and a bank teller. An accomplished quilter and seamstress, she created beautiful works of art which she shared generously with her family and friends. She also enjoyed long walks outdoors with family and friends. Above all, she enjoyed spending her life with those she loved. She will be sorely missed by all those who knew her. Throughout her life, Alison relied upon her faith in God during good times and bad. She was devout Christian and attended Neighborhood Christian Center, among other churches. Alison believed that the Lord had a plan and purpose for everyone, and took solace in that belief throughout her life. Alison was a deeply devoted mother and wife. She was uplifting and cheerful, always providing a comforting word to her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Mike Lander; children Erik Jonte, Amanda Jonte, Stacie Wright, Christopher Lander, and Jacob Lander; mother Sally Palmquist; sisters Anna May and Libby Palmquist; uncles Carl Palmquist and John Palmquist.
