Allen Charles Artis

Allen Curtis Artis Sr. was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi on February 16, 1962, the son of Ella and Abraham Wagner, Sr. He attended Wendell Philips High School and went on to begin his career in the restaurant industry as a cook. Allen met the love of his life, Cheryl Thomas, and they were married on May 6th, 1996 at Cook County Court House Allen loved life, dancing, singing, and the center of attention and loved his family. Allen passed away peacefully in Anoka, Minnesota, on October 20, 2020. He is preceded in death by his brother, Callaway Wagner, Kathy Wagner. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Cheryl Thomas-Artis of Deforest, WI; his parents, Ella and Abraham Wagner Sr.; his seven children, Crystal Rockal Artis, Christina Lolita Artis, Allen Curtis Artis JR, Myreon Muntu Artis, Kalif Calloway Artis, Synthiea Tashay Artis, Kayiana Alexis Artis; his 10 granddaughters and 6 grandsons; his brothers, Abraham Wagner, Curtis Steven Wagner (Lashanda Wagner), Rickyco Wagner, and Jerryco Wagner; his sisters, Jo-Ann Wagner-Wiley (Darrin Wiley), Brenda Wagner, and Victoria Wagner; and a host of nephew and nieces and many other family and friends. There will be a gathering from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 2585 Stillwater Road E, Maplewood, MN 55119 with a sharing of memories at 3:00 p.m. Masks are required for all attendees and social distancing guidelines will be enforced.
