Allen "Ray" Cupit
September 2nd, 1934 - October 20th, 2022
Allen “Ray” Cupit, age 88, of Mountain Home formerly of Boise, passed away at home on Thursday, October 20, 2022. No formal services will be held. Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Ray was born in Clem Scott, Oklahoma on September 2, 1934, to Leroy and Buela Cupit. After graduating high school, he joined the Army and fought 2 years in the Korean War. He would go on to live in many places to include Texas, Colorado, California, and Idaho. Ray loved to go hunting and fishing. He always had a good story to tell. After retirement he began wood working and made beautiful furniture, signs, urns, and many other pieces. Diana was also able to enjoy his hobby with him, painting the pieces he would make. They made a wonderful team together. Ray is survived by is wife Diana Cupit, daughters Wendy Longwell and Crystal Lawrence, stepdaughters Vickie Howell and Tiffiny Kendall, 7 Grandsons, 5 Granddaughters, and 17 Great-Grandchildren. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, prior wives Dorothy Pierce and LaVonne Cupit, stepdaughter Kristina Brutsman, and stepson Michael Howell.

Our funeral home opened in 2005 when Jerry and Janette Rost purchased the business. We’ve continued to grow along with Mountain Home. Jerry’s career began more than fifty years ago in Boise, and along the way, he acquired an 1897 horse-drawn funeral carriage, which we proudly display in our facility....
