Allen R. Estes, 55 of Gloversville, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2014 with his loving family by his side. Born in Little Falls, NY on January 10, 1959, he is the son of the late Robert A. Estes and Rose Cook Estes. Allen was raised in Randall, NY and is a graduate of the Fonda Fultonville School. A member of Laborer's Local 157, he worked for several years for Syrstone Inc. in Sprakers. Allen enjoyed Nascar, camping, and John Deere equipment. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Jo Pomakoy Estes, mother Rose Estes of Randall, Brother Tom Estes of Randall, son Christian Weaver of Alexandria, VA, step son Brian (Lisa) Barde of Pittsfield, MA and step daughter Michelle (Kevin) Sanford of Davenport, FL; Beloved grandchildren Brandon and Logan Barde and Audra Mary Sanford. He is also survived by sister in law, Mary (Robert) Derocher and niece Chloe Derocher. Allen also leaves behind his beloved K-9 companion Molly. Family and friends are invited to visit on April 5, 2014 from 12pm until 1pm at the Randall Christian Church , 4224 State Highway 5S, Fultonville, NY 12072. A funeral service will be celebrated following the visitation at 1pm with Rev. Winston Hallet. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Allen's memory to the Ayres Animal Shelter 133 Hilltop Road, Sprakers NY 12166 or to the Randall Christian Church, 4224 St. Hwy 5S. Fultonville NY 12072.
