Allen Stein, 76, of Gulfport, died Saturday, March 4th. Born in Brooklyn, New York to Aaron and Esther Stein, Allen attended Brooklyn Tech High School and, then,Columbia University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and Applied Science with an emphasis in Metallurgy. In 1988, Allen married his love, Debra Sheesley, in Montauk, New York. Allen’s career accomplishments culminated as President and Owner of Al Stein Industries, a manufacturing company of plating lines. Al’s reputation preceded him, as he was well respected by all who knew him and he was known as the, “go to guy.” Salt water was in his soul and living near the water was a way of life. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and scuba diving. Allen was a licensed boat captain, an accomplishment he held dear. One of his favorite activities was the King of the Beach fishing tournaments. He was active in his community homeowner’s association and served as Board Member and President. He was loved by so many and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He was kind, generous and funny. He is survived by his wife Debra Sheesley, Gulfport, FL; his sister Ellie Najac and Brother-in-Law Dr. Harold Najac of Bermuda; his son Noah Stein, Daughter-in-Law Jennifer Stein of Houston, TX and 3 Grandchildren, Carter, Kara and Jessa; and his Nephew Dr. Richard Najac and Liz Marks, Kew Gardens, New York.
