Biography Thomasville - Allen Lee Swaim, 55, went home to be with the Lord, and his late step-mother Lavada Swaim, on February 11, 2011. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 7:00PM Tuesday evening February 15, 2011 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel in Kernersville. A native of Forsyth County, he was the son of the late Mildred Everhart Swaim and Marvin Ray Swaim who survives. He was employed with Southeastern Freight Lines in Greensboro. Allen truly loved life and all it had to offer. He loved to play golf, coach and play baseball, and watch his favorite sports teams. Survivors include his daughter Leigh Tackett and Josh of Midway; son Toby Allen Swaim and Heather of Midway; mother of his children Terry Swaim and her fiancé©e Robert Wilson of Kernersville; father Marvin Ray Swaim of Virginia Beach, Virginia; sister Kimberly Branch and fiancé©e Thomas Foushee of Wallburg; brothers Mike Swaim and June of Greensboro, and Timothy Swaim and Connie of Virginia Beach, Virginia; half-brother Ernie Bonner of Lexington; special aunt Sue Schoch of High Point; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Allen and his fiancé©e Cindy Pendegrath were to be married soon. He loved her and her family dearly. They gave an irreplaceable love for him that will be forever cherished by his family and friends. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
