Allison Leigh Agee
July 11th, 1982 - July 14th, 2024
In Loving Memory
Allison Ownby Agee of Lexington, KY passed away peacefully on July 14, 2024. She was surrounded by loved ones in her final days. Born on July 11, 1982, to Dr. Harold and Karen Ownby, Allison graduated from Lafayette high school and the University of Kentucky where she attained a BA in Marketing and Management and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Upon graduation, Allison held several positions successfully in pharmaceutical and medical sales. Her favorite role, however, was being a mother to her two daughters Olivia Leigh Agee (13) and Grayson Ann Agee (10). Allison held a lively and vivacious spirit that she poured into her children. She loved to volunteer at Rosa Parks Elementary and strived to fill her children with enough of her love to last them their lifetime.
Besides her children and parents, Allison is also survived by her sister, Jennifer Ownby Hopewell, and a niece, Emma Kate Hopewell. She is also survived by her dear cat, Charlie. She was preceded in death by a host of grandparents. Allison loved deeply as a mother, friend, and family member who was ubiquitously beautiful, silly, empathetic, and so much fun. While her life was too short in years, her impact on those whose life she touched was great. “To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.” – Thomas Campbell.
A private graveside service will be followed by a celebration of life at Clark Legacy Center, located in the Brannon Crossing area of Lexington, KY, on Friday, July 19 from 4-6 pm.
The family requests that guests wear bright and vibrant colors to represent the spirit we remember in Allison.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bluegrass. https://rmhclexington.com/
