Alma Leota Westerfield, 76, from Lexington, Ky was called home to The Lord on December 22nd, 2019. Born one of 13 children to Charles and Carrie Westerfield of Parksville, Ky, she was a graduate of the University of Kentucky with an Associates Degree in Nursing. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Suzette Caudill, and survived by her daughters, Jennifer Westerfied and Carmen Davis; her grandchildren Brooke Caudill, Unique Westerfield, and John Davis; and her great grandchildren Cheyenne, Aubrey, Bryson, Zymaya, and Audrianna. Alma retired from the VA Medical Hospital on Leestown Rd in Lexington, Ky where she worked for 26 years on the Psychiatric unit providing patient care for mentally challenged adults. Her kindness and unconditional love made her the heart and soul of her family. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was the person everyone went to in time of trouble because of her gentleness and kindness. As a single mother, she sacrificed for her children and successfully saw all of her daughters graduate from the University of Kentucky with Bachelor’s Degrees in Economics, Psychology, and Engineering degrees respectively. Many of her last days were spent attending to her great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in her honor at First Free Will Baptist Church from 6pm-9pm on Monday, December 30th, 2019. Words will be spoken in her honor by Pastor Rick Stone and family starting at 6:30pm. She has fought the good fight and is now home with her Savior. She is at peace but will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
