Alma Shirley Wilson
February 26th, 1934 - April 9th, 2008
Alma Shirley Wilson 74, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening at Lakewood Medical Center in Lakewood Washington. Alma was born in Jerome Idaho. She was the eldest of three girls born to Ray and Martha Demaris. Her father died when she was a young girl and her mother remarried and the family moved to Oroville California where she remained until the age of 22 when she married Robert W. Wilson in February 1956. Alma was a devoted wife and mother of 4 children. In the early years of her marriage, the family lived in Texas, Salt Lake City Utah, Portland Oregon, Pendleton Oregon, and eventually settled in the Spokane area where she remained for 35 years. She worked for Avon, for over 30 years, was honored with the Presidents Club for Sales Achevement for 20 of those years. She retired from an active carrer in 2004. For the past two years she has been living in Spanaway with her son and daughter-in-law. She is survived by a daughter (Cheryl Lynn Jeffers), three sons (Edward “Gene”, Marvin and Robert), three daughter-in-laws (Robyn, Susan and Gina), 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A memorial will be held at Anchor of Hope Christian Reform church in Silverdale Washington on Saturday April 12th at 3:00PM. Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center 253-566-1008
