With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Alma Florine Wright, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, devoted friend and faithful servant, who peacefully departed this world on September 14, 2024, in Macon, Georgia. The family invites friends and loved ones to pay their respects at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, with visitation to be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 6 PM to 8 PM. The funeral service will take place in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 11 AM. Alma will be laid to rest at Parkway Memorial Gardens, joining in eternal peace with her cherished husband, Bobby Wright.

Born on January 2, 1939, in Tifton, Georgia, Alma graced the lives of all who knew her with kindness and an unwavering considerate spirit. Along with her husband, she is also  preceded in death by her mother, Gladys L. Byars, siblings: Irvin Shinholster, Irene Wright, Rosa Mae Allen, and her daughter, Sharon Braddy.

Alma dedicated her professional life to her work at Robins Air Force Base, from which she retired after many years of diligent service. However, her true vocation and passion resided in her steadfast devotion to family and faith. The heart of Alma could be felt deeply within the walls of McCrabb Baptist Church in Old Town, Florida, where she was a faithful member and an inspiration to her congregation.

Alma found immense joy in reading her Bible, listening to gospel music, and spending time immersed in nature, camping, and RVing with her loved ones. Her warmth and culinary talents drew many together; her expertly prepared meals were a testament to her dedication and love for her family. Moments spent with her children and grandchildren were among her life's greatest treasures. Her unwavering faith, dedication to family, and embodiment of kindness and consideration will forever be remembered. Though Alma Florine Wright has departed from this life, her spirit lives on in the hearts and minds of those who had the great fortune to know her.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her five children: Michael Braddy of the Philippines, Angela Jones of Bonaire, Jean (Billy) Vann of Jacksonville, Florida, Jamie (Denise) Braddy of Granbury, Texas, and Christopher "Randy" (JoAnn) Braddy of Summerville, South Carolina. Her life’s tapestry is further enriched by her 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and an extensive network of nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will cherish her memory.
