Mrs. Almarine Jennings, 91, of West Grand Street, Palatine Bridge, NY died peacefully on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Mountain Valley Hospice following a brief illness. Born on December 30, 1918 in Middletown, Ohio she was the daughter of the late John and Jennie Larson Peterson. Almarine was employed for the Luxuary Mill in Fort Plain as a textile worker for many years. Family and her faith played an important role in her life. She was an active member of Faith, Hope and Love Christian Fellowship. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her three sons, Raymond Jennings and his wife Gaile of Amsterdam, NY, Wendell Jennings and his wife Kathy of Nelliston, NY, and Jack Jennings and his wife Sharon of Bakersfield, CA; one sister, Mabel Pauls of Fresno, CA; six grandchildren, Josh, Jeremy, Karen, Tracy, Julie, Nola; and several great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Carl Jennings and two sisters, Freita Peterson and Alpha Maxwell. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 1 o'clock at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317 with Pastor David Bowley presiding. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Sand Flats, Fonda, NY. Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the service beginning at 11 o'clock, Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith, Hope and Love Christian Fellowship in care of the funeral home office.
