Alva Melvin Taylor April 10, 1917 March 19, 2010 Alva (Melvin) Taylor, 92, was born April 10, 1917 in Alva, FL. and passed in Tavares, FL on March 19, 2010. He was of Protestant faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Immokalee. FL. Melvin was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Elzie and Bessie Taylor, two brothers, Ivan Taylor of Plant City, FL and Albert Taylor of LaBelle, FL and one sister, Mildred Taylor Winegardner of Corkscrew, FL. Melvin is survived by eight nieces and nephews. Betty Jo Blankenship of Tavares, FL, Lynn Taylor of Plant City, FL, Steven Taylor of Lehigh Acres, FL, David Taylor of Wasilla, Alaska, Juanita McIntire of Naples, FL, Hilda Northcutt, of Lake City, FL, Philip Winegardner of Lorida, FL and Ernie Winegardner of Naples, FL. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 26, 2010, 1 PM - 1:45 and funeral service at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Immokalee, FL. located at 1411 Lake Trafford Road, Immokalee, FL. with Pastor Dennis Norvell officiating. Interment will follow at Baptist Cemetery in Immokalee. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Immokalee, 1411 Lake Trafford Road, Immokalee, FL 34142 .
