Alvie Archie Moser

Alvie Moser, 90, of Greeley, CO passed away March 19, 2018 in Greeley. He was born March 3, 1928 in LaSalle, CO to Charlie and Matilda Moser. He had five brothers and four sisters. He, like most of his brothers was born deaf. He graduated in 1947 from the Colorado School for the Deaf & Blind. He loved playing all the sports during school. Alvie married Betty Knudson in 1956. They moved to Hudson, CO where he was a farmer like his father. They had two daughters, Shelia and Thelma. A few years later they moved to Greeley and Alvie worked as a butcher. He spent the rest of his life in Greeley and retired as a United States Postal worker. He loved the farm and worked during harvest season after he retired. He enjoyed many activities his church, fishing, hunting, and camping at their Fairfield vacation home in Pagosa Springs, CO, he also enjoyed bowling, golf and playing cards. Much of the time doing those activities with his friends at the Silent Athletic Club. He also enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies. He will be missed dearly. Alvie is survived by his wife of 62 years Betty, daughter Thelma Moser, grandson Joshua Weed and his sister Corona Mae Howard. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Shelia, five brothers and three sisters. A Memorial Service will be held 9:30 AM Saturday March 24, 2018 at Gloria Christi Lutheran Church, 1322 31st Avenue, with inurnment to follow at Linn Grove Cemetery, 1700 Cedar Avenue in Greeley.
