July 28th, 1931 - September 30th, 2016
On Friday, September 30, 2016, Al "the Flash" Taylor, 85, passed away in Las Vegas, as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident. Al was born in Louisville, Kentucky on July 28, 1931. He was the son of Joe and Christine Taylor. He leaves his wife Lorna T. Taylor, sister Joyce Blankenship, Bernadette Wise; his daughter, and her husband Rick; Martine Dean his daughter, and her husband Jim Dean; three grandchildren; Eric Wise, Joshua Dean, Michelle Dean, one great grandchild; Jeffrey Wise, and many close friends. Al served in the in the Air Force. He also had a distinguished career for the Dept. of Defense as a Civil Servant for the Army, Navy and Air Force. Al was very active in many charitable causes including working with those afflicted by the disease of alcoholism and had the unique ability to walk with kings but never lose the common touch. There will be a military funeral service followed by a reception at the JW Marriott, Las Vegas Resort & Spa (Hotel), 221 N Rampart Blvd, Las Vegas, NV, 89145, (702) 869-7777 on Saturday October 8, 2016 from 11:00AM—5PM.
