Amanda Snell
January 19th, 1989 - July 13th, 2009
Amanda held the rank of Navy Intelligence Specialist 2nd Class. She was stationed in Arlington, Virginia. She graduated from Chapparal High School in Las Vegas in June 2007. Amanda was very active in the High School ROTC Program as well as several local charities. She did her basic training at Great Lakes, Michigan and attended the Navy School in Dam Neck, Virginia, from there she was transferred to her current post in Virginia, where she received current rank of E-5. She was also a active member and participant of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church as a Youth Minister in Alexandria, Virginia. At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
