AMANDA (JANE) TORRES DECEMBER 22, 1933 - JULY 15, 2022 Born in Watertown, South Dakota to Oscar Thompson and Amanda Engevik. Jane lost her mother shortly after birth and her father died when she was 10. Her eldest brother Allen, her brother Richard and her sister Laura have all preceded her in death. They have left numerous nieces and nephews for her to love. Jane met the love of her life in Watertown. It wasnt long after, Thomas Torres married Jane on June 4, 1949. A life of many adventures began that day. Three children Nina Jane, Thomas Allen and Michael Tony Torres. Their son, Tom preceded her in death. Her devoted and loving husband Tom took care of her every need for 73 years. Jane is also survived by her daughter Nina Parker, her son Michael Torres, her Granddaughter Monique Wind (Mike Hendershot) great granddaughter Isabella Austin; Granddaughter Heather Wind (Huch Platt) and great grandson Hayden Platt. Throughout the years Jane has made many wonderful friends. There was a large Church family that we have all been so blessed to know. Thanks especially to JoAnne Beck and her family for many years of unwavering love and friendship. The neighbors of the Somerset community have been so supportive. Thank you to all of you for your love and support. Thank you to Pastor Karen Woida. It means so much to the family that you are the one to help us put our beloved Jane to rest. Amanda (Jane) Torres your life has been full. You lived it with a kind and loving heart. Your faith in God was always steadfast. God created a truly beautiful human! In lieu of flowers please make a charitable donation in memory of Jane Torres. Hopalong Animal Rescue. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. A Private Graveside Service will be held for Jane. Private Interment Oakmont Memorial Park 2099 Reliez Valley Rd., Lafayette CA 94549
