Amanda Michelle Whitfield

Amanda Michelle Whitfield, 59 of Lexington, South Carolina went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2024. She was born in Columbia, SC on July 7, 1964, to Clara Jeanette Mims and Ernest Willis Mims. Amanda and her mother, were the proud business owners of Mims Fine Jewelry where they worked to provide people of the Midlands with exquisite jewelry and customer service for the last 40 years. Amanda enjoyed spending time with her twin daughters and four grandchildren. She was a faithful and fierce servant of the Lord who loved serving in her church, volunteering to feed the homeless, visiting with shut-ins, advocating for Compassion International, and working to advance the kingdom of Jesus Christ. Amanda is survived by her twin daughters, Melissa Luckett (Randy Luckett) and Michelle Perry (Austin Perry), her brother, Donald Mims (Ann Marie Mims), her mother, Clara Jeanette Mims, and grandchildren, Palmer, Landry, Wilder, and Rhodes. She was excited to become the proud grandmother of two grandchildren on the way. Amanda was also survived by her beloved dog, Skye. Amanda was predeceased by her father, Ernest Willis Mims. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 9:30 AM at Mt. Horeb Church, 1205 Old Cherokee Rd, Lexington SC 29072 followed by a memorial service to be held at 11:00 AM also at Mt. Horeb Church. In lieu of flowers or trees, the family requests memorials be made to Mt. Horeb Church. The South Carolina Cremation Society is assisting the family.
