Amarante (Armando) Jaramillo, surrounded by his family, went peacefully to be with Jesus his Savior on February 20th, 2020. He was born August 2, 1926 in Lobatos, Colorado to Candido & Pablita Jaramillo. Armando was raised in Antonito, Colorado and was drafted into the Army in 1944. He served in Europe during WW2. After the war he returned home to Antonito, Colorado. There he met and married the love of his life, Theresa Esquibel. In 1962 they moved to Greeley, Colorado, where he worked as a maintenance man for a local hospital until his retirement in 1989. In his spare time, Armando enjoyed working on cars and in his later years he found a passion for fishing, especially fishing with his grandchildren. He was also a member of the Catholic Church. Armando is survived by his wife of 60 years, Theresa Jaramillo; sons Bob (Rita) Jaramillo, Jim Esquibel, Rick (Jo Ann) Jaramillo, Jeff (Allison) Jaramillo, Jonathan (Linette) Jaramillo, daughters, Pauline (Orlando) Martinez, Christine Garcia; 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, Armando is also survived by his brothers Joe Jaramillo, Louis Jaramillo, and sisters Bebe Brown &Theresa Godfrey. He is preceded in death by his parents Candido & Pabilta Jaramillo; brothers Candido Jaramillo Jr., Pablo Jaramillo Sr, Sisters Hazel Lopez, Arlene Farmer. Armando’s daughters Sadie & Lisa Jaramillo; son Louis C. Jaramillo; grandchildren Justin James Jaramillo, Natasha McDonald, and Aryanna O. Tafoya. Military Honors will be at 8:30 am, followed by a recitation of rosary 9 am on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at St Peter Catholic Church located at 915 12th Street, Greeley, Colorado. Inurnment will be in Fort Logan National Cemetery, 1pm, Friday, March 20, 2020. In lieu of donations the family has requested all donations to be made to homeless veterans.
