Amelia Brenda Roper

Amelia Brenda Roper of Louisville, Colorado died peacefully on July 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on May 22, 1957 to Christopher Garcia and JoAnn Pineda. She is preceded in death by her dad, her mom and her brother Chris. She is survived by her loving husband Paul Roper, son J.C. Roper (Tonya), daughter Alicia Villarreal, grandchildren: Roman Villarreal, Aribela Villarreal, Preston Griffiths, Destiny Sexton (Julian), Joseph Lujan and great-grandson Luka Gallegos (JC & Tonya). Brenda is also survived by her siblings Derek, Cheryl, Michael, Jamie, and all those family members and friends who she held deeply in her heart. 



Brenda was born in Pueblo and is a Colorado native who grew up in Westminster. She met Paul in high school and they were married for 48 years. She worked hard as a young mom to finish her degree and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado, receiving her degree in elementary education. She taught kindergarten and 1st grade for 27 years. Brenda's life story reflects her dedication to her family, her work as a teacher, and her passion for gardening and spending time with loved ones. Despite facing health challenges, she remained strong and found joy in simple pleasures like planting flowers and mowing the lawn. She also loved going to the casinos on occasion. Brenda's legacy will undoubtedly live on through the memories and love shared by those who knew her best. May she be remembered for her resilience, kindness, and the impact she made on those around her.
