Americo "Robert" Roberto Llaneras
November 3rd, 1951 - December 23rd, 2020
"Robert" Americo Roberto Llaneras age 69, of Goose Creek, SC went home to be with the Lord on December 23, 2020. He was predeceased by his father Americo R. Llaneras, survived by his beloved mother Ana Antonia Llaneras of Miami, Fl. His beloved wife Janet Llaneras of 43 years, daughter Jennifer Renee Tyson (Eddie) and granddaughters Abigail and Kailah Tyson of Goose Greek. His very loved brothers Tony Llaneras (Edya), Alex Llaneras (Maria) including nieces and nephew Barbara Rodriguez (Jesus), Tony Llaneras (Omy), Alexa and Sarah Llaneras of Miami, Fl. Many uncles, aunts, cousins, great nieces and nephews, and in-laws. Robert was born in 1951 in Havana, Cuba. He and his family courageously relocated to live in the United States in 1962 first to Arlington, VA then to Miami FL. In 1988, Robert, Janet and daughter Jennifer settled in Goose Creek, SC. Robert was a very kind, loving man who always had a warm smile to share. His generous heart always had others in mind. He loved all of his family fiercely and took every opportunity to spend time with and call them. His daughter and granddaughters brought him much joy, and he would always make up a "special" song to sing about them. He was very proud to be "Abu" to his granddaughters, and he loved his fur baby, Ivy. Spending time and sharing interests with his grandaughters was important to him. He passed down many passions including his love for cafe con leche, knife collection, fishing, and playing tourist downtown. His family was his pride and joy. Robert loved the Lord and had a servant's heart. He was always willing to step in when there was a need. He provided assistance in the surveying and building needs of the church, served with the offering team, provided gift cards for the ministry center's struggling clients, and even created children's ministry crafts. Jesus was an important part of his life. Even in his last few days, he was thinking about sharing Jesus with others. His favorite Bible verse was John 3:16, For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. History was something Robert loved, and he enjoyed sharing his stories. He had such a wealth of knowledge. He took pleasure in reading and visiting historical sites and museums, and he even had the opportunity to go aboard and stay a few nights on the USS Saipan. Robert was a very hardworking man. He was a land surveyor and draftsman by trade. He took pride in his work and was an asset to the companies he worked for. He was also a strong man. He battled heart disease bravely for 19 years. Robert is loved so very much and will truly be missed! Memorial service will be announced when arrangements are finalized (delays due to holidays).
