Amrik Singh Bains

Amrik Singh Bains, a longtime resident of Yuba City, CA passed away peacefully in his home February 13, 2024, at the age of 90. He was born in Mahilpur, Punjab, and served in the Indian Air Force for 20 years before immigrating to the United States in 1978, with his late wife, Parkash Kaur Bains and family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather, who devoted his entire life to his family. He is survived by his son, Sukhjiven Singh Bains (Sukhwinder); daughters, Sukhjot Kaur Bal (Bhupinder), and Sukhjit Kaur Jhutty (Arvinderjit); brother, Jaswant Singh Bains(Manjit); grand-children, Aneet Shoker(Parvinder), Veerpaul Bains(Rajvir), Amritpaul Bains (Lovedeep), Simarjit Bains, Kiran Bains, Emmapreet Basi(Sunjeet), Berneen Bal, Kamalpreet Bhagal(Sarbjit), Manraj Jhutty, Navroop Jhutty and Jujhar Jhutty; great-grandchildren, Armaan Shoker, Amaaya Shoker, Avanya Shoker, Jaipaul Bains, Jaya Bains, Jovan Bains, Sahara Bains and Harleen Bhagal. He was preceded in death by his wife, late Parkash Kaur Bains; father, late Gurbax Singh Bains; and mother, late Tej Kaur Bains; brother, late Kulwant Singh Bains. He was a generous, kind hearted man who was a light in all of our lives who despite his many hardships never let anyone see him down. We will deeply miss looking into his beautiful blue eyes, hearing his voice, and the warmth of his embrace. Life will never be the same without him but we will make sure his memories and stories live on. He lived a beautiful life and did so much for us all, his love will live on within us forever. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024, 11:00am at Ullrey Memorial Chapel located at 817 Almond Street, Yuba City, followed by prayers at Sikh Temple Tierra Buena Rd., Yuba City.
