Ms. Adams, 36, of Charlotte died at her residence on Sunday, November 17, 2013. Amy was born March 11, 1977 in Mt. Home, ID, a daughter of Doris Lee Kirkpatrick of Charlotte, NC and Wiley Adams of Phoenix, AZ. Amy loved gardening, cooking, canning, reading and country music. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend; who never met a stranger. Amy also loved animals. Amy was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. Surviving in addition to her parents are her sisters, Elizabeth Jones, Heather Adams and Laura Mae Adams; brother, Frank Adams; nephews, Wyatt and Ian Jones and several aunts and uncles and her beloved pets Bobo and Chewy. A service to celebrate her life will be held 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 24, 2013, in the chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Second Chance Medical Fund c/o Animal Care & Control 8315 Byrum Dr., Charlotte, NC 28217.
