Amy Joyce Plotkin

Amy Joyce Plotkin, daughter of Leo and Vera Plotkin, was a lively, lifelong Floridian, who touched many people’s lives in positive ways. She is survived by her siblings, Karen (Michael) Wetmore, Bracha (John) Laster, Ben (Sheila) Plotkin, and Loren (Julie) Plotkin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and cousins. She held her family together for over 51 years. Amy overcame many odds with energy and courage. An accomplished participant and award winner in Special Olympics over many years, Amy also was an avid bowler. She leaves behind many friends at the Foundation for Independent Living in Coconut Creek, FL, including her boyfriend, Jackie C. She was a 1986 graduate of Countryside High School. Born in Dade County, she matriculated in Pinellas County, was a long time resident of Broward County, and passed away on January 20, 2017 in Palm Beach County from complications of pneumonia.
