Beers and Story - South Hadley
Andre L. Cote
July 8th, 1946 - March 20th, 2024
South Hadley, MA- It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Andre L. Cote, 77, who passed away suddenly on March 20, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. He was born July 8, 1946, in Martinville, Quebec Canada to Ovide and Blanche (Tetrault) Cote. Andre worked for many years as a Real Estate Owner/Property Manager in the surrounding areas. He worked extremely hard whether it was maintaining his rental properties or splitting and stacking wood at his own home. When Andre wasn't working, you could find him spending quality time with his family and friends relaxing around a giant campfire that he loved to build at his camp in Heath, MA. There wasn't a holiday or special family event that he wasn't in attendance. He loved to be with his family! Andre was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for over 40 years and attended Mass faithfully every Sunday at 11:00am. He is survived by his lifetime partner of 40 years, Carmen Roman with whom he lived. He will be deeply missed by his children, Daniel Cote (Annie) of Granby, Catina Fitzell (Tom) of South Hadley, Michael Roman (Sharleen) of South Hadley, Lisa Smith of Holyoke and Jennifer Caron (Ronald) of Chicopee. He also leaves his sister, Monique Cote of Canada. He was a loving Pepere to 10 grandchildren, Luke Cote of South Hadley, Tessa Cote of Ludlow, Ellie LeBreton of Cheshire, Zachary LeBreton of Agawam, Sarah Benoit of Chicopee, Makenzie Roman of South Hadley, Crystal Smith of Westfield, Cameron Smith of Holyoke, Ryan Caron and Nolan Caron of Chicopee and 1 great granddaughter, Rayah Bassett of Chicopee. He was preceded in death by 7 siblings. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday March 26th from 4:00-7:00pm at Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 27th at 11:00am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Granby. Please meet directly at the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 256 State St, Granby, MA 01033
