November 30th, 1926 - January 20th, 2019
VALDES, Andres, 92, of Tampa, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019. He was born in Cuba and moved to the United States in 1968. Andres was a millworker of fine furniture and a hard worker, who enjoyed designing and building unique pieces. He was married to his loving wife for 68 years. They left their homeland in 1968 to seek a better life for themselves and their children. He leaves behind a successful legacy. Andres is survived by his wife, Nieves Valdes; sons, Andres N. Valdes (Olga), Agustin Valdes (Maria Elena), Jose Luis Valdes (Debbie) and Orestes Amador Valdes (Maribel); daughters, Lidia Rodgers (James) and Cary Vowels (Mark); 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. A graveside service to honor Andres life will take place at 2:30pm, Wednesday, January 23, 2019 in Orange Hill Cemetery.
