Life Legacy Andrew J Carr Obituary October 9, 2017 will be remembered in the hearts of all that knew Andrew Jeffrey Carr as the loss of the most loving, caring, kind, generous, inspirational and determined man in his fight against his complications and setbacks from his illness. He was at home surrounded by family, friends, his dog Buddy and his 2 biggest cheerleaders Lily and Ben. Andrew is survived by his wife Lana and 2 beautiful children Lily (8) and Ben (6); mother Carol; father Jeffrey (Karen); sister Elaine (Brian); sister Lauren; and brother Tim. Andrew was born on April 24, 1973 in Phoenix, AZ. He grew up in Tucson and attended Santa Rita High School. He was a graduate of the University of Arizona and was self employed as a CPA. He lived in Cave Creek for several years before moving back to Tucson in 2011, as his goal was always to return to Tucson and raise his family here. He loved Wildcat football, outdoor activities, hiking and always needed to get his 10,000 steps in. His true passion was music, guitar playing and helping with all of the musical events in Tucson. He had an amazing eye for buying and selling musical equipment. His kids meant the world to him and he never missed any of their activities and was always extremely eager to help them with their homework particularly math. Please join the family at Andrew's Celebration of Life ceremony at Agua Caliente Park on October 21, 2017 from 11 to 1 PM. The park address is 12325 E Roger Rd Tucson, AZ 85749. It has been a true honor and privilege to be a part of Andrew's life, and he will forever be in our hearts. Andrew has requested that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the children's college fund at Carr Family Trust. In honor of Andrew's life, the family leaves you with the following poem: I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side, spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other. Then, someone at my side says, 'There, she is gone' Gone where? Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast, hull and spar as she was when she left my side. And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port. Her diminished size is in me - not in her. And, just at the moment when someone says, 'There, she is gone,' there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, 'Here she comes!' And that is dying... Death comes in its own time, in its own way. Death is as unique as the individual experiencing it.
