Andrew L. Jennings
September 9th, 1946 - June 6th, 2024
Andrew "Andy" L. Jennings, 77, of Batesburg-Leesville, SC, passed away on June 6, 2024, to be with the Lord. A memorial service will be held at Twin City Church of Christ, 210 Highland Ave., Batesburg, SC 29006 at a later date.
Andy was born on September 9, 1946, in Columbia, SC, to the late Alton R. and Rachel R. Jennings. He graduated from Columbia High School, Palmer College, and the Wisconsin School of Banking. He also attended the University of South Carolina, majoring in auditing and accounting. Andy was a dedicated member of Twin City Church of Christ in Batesburg-Leesville, SC. He retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield and formerly worked for Anchor Continental of Columbia. Additionally, he served in the US Army Reserve with the 3270th US Army Augmentation (Medical) and the 108th Training Command.
Andy cherished his church family, country, dogs, and work. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton R. Jennings and Rachel R. Jennings, of Columbia, SC.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, JoAnn Jennings; sisters Frances Boyle of Aiken and Shirley Banks of Columbia; stepchildren Avery, Wesley, and Wade Funderberg; grandchildren Kayla, Justin, Chance, Paige, Cameron, and Benjamin; and numerous nieces and nephews including Bobby Banks, Cindy Piper ,Matthew Boyle, and Tracy Coakley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Twin City Church of Christ, PO Box 2239, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29070.
