Andrew James Quintana

Andrew James Quintana, 59, a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on February 1st, 2024 after a tough fought battle with leukemia. He was born July 24th, 1964 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Juan and Theresa (Gonzales) Quintana. He was preceded in death by parents Juan and Theresa Quintana, sister Rose Ann Quintana, brothers Robert, Danny and Leroy Quintana and niece Lisa Chavez. Andrew is survived by his children Rebecca Quintana and Robert Read, girlfriend Laura Gonzales, as well as sisters Marylou Quintana and RoseMarie Quintana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends. Andrew worked for the City of Las Vegas and City of Albuquerque for over 21 years, combined. Aside from being a die-hard Raiders fan, he also loved the LA Dodgers and enjoyed watching and playing various sports. Andrew loved listening to music, hunting, riding his Harley, going to the local winery and local coffee club with friends, but most of all, being a jokester to put a smile on anyone’s face. A Catholic Mass will be held on Friday, February 23rd, 2024, at 10:30a.m. at Our Lady of Guadelupe Church, 1860 Griegos Road NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87107. Please enter the church on the San Isidro side. Reception will take place immediately after at Our Lady of Guadalupe Hall. The family would like to thank all the medical/nursing staff from Rust Medical Center, the New Mexico Cancer Center, and Niveah Hospice who were entrusted with Andrew’s care. The family would also like to thank the many families, friends, and neighbors for all their continued support and prayers.
