Growing up I came to know your father as "Uncle Levi" and always thought of you as my first cousins. I am sure this was because of the love he had for my mother,aunts and uncles. His first cousins and the family, history, wars and economy which that greatest of all generations shared in common. Levi flattered me as a young attorney by seeking my advice. Most often he called not on his behalf but for a friend of his who was experiencing a trial because of an injustice at the hand of an employer, a business partner,a neighbor or sometimes "the government"! What ever prompted his call we would visit afterwards and he always asked how Mary and Charlotte were. Oh how much I envied the relationships your father's generation nurtured and cherished. I can only imagine the welcome home he enjoyed. Levi a true original will be missed by All. Love to all! John

I am so sorry to learn of Levi's death and send my condolences. I just discovered today, Nov. 22, 2017, that Levi is gone. I consider myself fortunate to have known him. He was feisty, intelligent, ornery, funny, and kind. He always treated me with such affection and respect. I am truly saddened.
