Angel Robin Farris (Shannon), age 58, passed in her home, fighting up until her very last breath surrounded by her children and close family after a long courageous battle with breast cancer, on the morning of October 16, 2021. Angel was born on March 1, 1963 and was a resident of Jackson, Ca for almost her entire life. Angel spent most of her childhood around horses, riding horseback everywhere she went and participated in many horse shows. She attended Jackson High School in the graduating class of 1981 and went on to attend a trade school to receive her Class A license to become one of the only female propane and logging truck drivers in the area at that time. Angel married the love of her life, Bryan Farris on December 20, 1987 in South Lake Tahoe, and together they had 3 children. Angel was a devoted mother, who spent most of her time coaching or cheering on the sidelines supporting her children in various sports, volunteering in their classes, and spending quality time camping and fishing on the lake with them and her husband. Angel also loved going on weekend trips for her daughters’ softball tournaments, spending summers out on the lake jet skiing and had a passion for tending to her beautiful floral-filled backyard. She was also a huge animal lover, often taking in stray animals who needed a home, who also bred and raised both English Bulldogs and Miniature Dachshunds. In her later years, she was a very devoted grandmother, who spent much of her time with her grandchildren enjoying family vacations to Disneyland just as much as curling up in bed with them watching movies. Angel was as tough as nails and was very well known for her strong, fiery, say it how it is, personality; as well as her loyal, fierce, mama bear loving side, who would do anything for her children and the ones who she cared about. She had such a magnetic, and generous personality, helping anyone who needed it in any way she could, touching many lives that crossed her path. Angel is survived by her parents Real and Patricia Robles, her daughter Danielle Crowell and her husband, Ryan Crowell, her daughter Camille Farran and her husband, Bryan Farran, and her son Brock Farris; as well as her 5 grandchildren; Anika, Ashlynn, Gabriella, Riley, and Noelle. Her siblings, Real “Skip” Robles, Reno Robles and John Shannon, her mother-in-law June Farris, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. She will also be dearly missed by many close friends and honorary family members including Adam and Janet Dalton, Adam Jr. and Harley Dalton, Tessie and Shawn Rankin, and their children Hadley Ray and Adeline. She was preceded in death and now reunited with the one true love of her life and husband of 18 years, Bryan Farris; as well as her brother, Jim “Chub” Shannon Jr. and father-in-law Gary Farris, her great grandmother Fern “Nanny” Mayo, her Uncle Harold and Aunt Carmelita Cummins, and her dear friend, Rosemary Haskell. There will be a public viewing on November 6, 2021 at the Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort in the hotel ballroom at 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 12 p.m. Please allot 20-30 minutes of extra time for mandatory rapid Covid nasal swab testing to be done on site upon entering, which will be provided by the family. Masks will also be required at the event. The family asks for you to please stay home if you are feeling ill or have knowingly been exposed to Covid within 14 days of the service. Her service will be live streamed for all of those who are unable to attend. Please visit danerimortuary.com closer to the event date to gain access to the link that will direct you to the live stream. Sympathy cards and flowers for the service may be sent to 12222 New York Ranch Rd, Jackson CA 95642. An opportunity to write memories of Angel and/or condolences to the family, as well as a basket to leave copies of photos of her will be provided at the memorial and is highly encouraged. There is also an option to upload condolences and photos at danerimortuary.com for those who cannot attend.
