Angelica Verduzco
March 31st, 1974 - September 10th, 2022
Angelica Verduzco Chávez was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. After a long battle with cancer, she left this world peacefully on September 10, 2022 surrounded by family. She was born to Joaquin and Elisa Chávez on March 31, 1974. She grew up in La Plaza del Limón, Michoacán, Mexico where she also studied to be a nurse. Angelica was a nurse at Unidad Médica, Plaza del Limon for a few years before she met and married her husband, Benito Verduzco. They had five children together: Joaquin, Benito Jr., Nancy, David, and Cristal. Angelica loved caring for her family and spoiling her beloved granddaughter, Luna. Angelica was very involved in her children’s lives, so much so that her children’s friends also called Angelica “mom” or “Momma J”. Angelica loved being a mother to all including her children’s partners Kayla Goodwin (Benito Jr), Logan Mahr (Nancy), and Larissa Villarreal (David). Her family would joke that she loved them more than her own children sometimes. Alongside her closest friends, Angelica was an active member of Iglesia Cristo la Roca. Every so often, Angelica and her friends would gather after church for cookouts where Angelica would make her famous “frijoles machucados,” guacamole, and salsa. Not only was she a great cook but also a fantastic baker. Her “gelatina de café con rompope” and zucchini bread were her most requested. Angelica will be missed by many. A visitation is scheduled from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the service at 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Nitardy Funeral Home located at 550 North Newcomb St, Whitewater, WI 53190.

We Entrusted Angelica Verduzco's Care To
Nitardy Funeral Homes - Whitewater
We have proudly served the Southern Wisconsin community since 1932, when our founder Hilmar A. Nitardy opened his first funeral home in the area. We feel very fortunate to continue serving the community three generations later. In 2007, we constructed our first funeral home in Whitewater. Here, our mission is the same as it has been for over 90 years: help walk our community through times of grief and provide beautiful and meaningful services to every family that walks through our doors. We are proud that Whitewater families trust us to take care of their loved ones....
