Angelo Nicolas Roybal

On Tuesday, July 23, 2024, Angelo Nicolas Roybal exchanged his place in this world, for his new home in Heaven.  

Angelo was born July 1, 1989, in Santa Fe, NM, where he lived until his death.  

On November 14, 2014, he married his sweetheart Shantelle. Together they had four beautiful children-Christopher, Jeremiah, Joshua, and Destiny.  

Angelo was an avid fisherman and loved camping. He also loved to go on vacation with his family and we all made precious memories together. He loved entertaining friends and family. If you were blessed enough to be part of his life, you just knew he would give you the shirt off his back for you. Even as a child, if he had one stick of gum in his pocket, he would divide it into three pieces-one for his brother, one for his sister, and the smallest piece for himself.   

Angelo was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Nick and Anita Valdez, paternal grandmother Jessie Roybal, cousin/brother Ben Romero, his beloved Aunt Pat Cordova, his uncles Steve Cordova and Mannie Jiron, and his wife’s grandmother Jennie Martinez.  

He is survived by his wife Shantelle, their four children Christopher, Jeremiah, Joshua, and Destiny, his parents Jacob Roybal and Toni Baca, brother Jacob Roybal and wife Kelly and their five children Jacob, Jazlyn, Jessica, Awbrie and Dominic, his sister Melanie and husband Matthew Schlosser, his brother/cousin Stephen Romero, Aunt Martha Valdez, Uncle Nick Valdez Jr. and his wife Angie, special cousins Adam Valdez, Vince and Matthew Martinez, sisters-in-law Dewainette Martinez and partner Michael Leyba, their children Santiago, Savannah, and Brianna. Sister-in-law Jennie Martinez, Charmaine Martinez, and brother-in-law Freddy Sanchez, his mother-in-law Jeanette Martinez and many other friends and relatives,  

Much, much more could be said about Angelo, but there are not enough words to describe his big heart, and this obituary would become a book!  

A Celebration of Life for Angelo will be held on Saturday August 10, 2024, at 3:00pm at Christian Life located at 121 Siringo Rd, Santa Fe, NM 87505 with reception to follow.
